RF Microneedling

How does RF microneedling work?
The microneedling creates tiny microchannels into the superficial layers of the skin causing skin regeneration and collagen stimulation. The RF creates heat energy creating tissue remodelling and production of new collagen and elastin.

Areas for the treatment:
Any skin of the face and body can be treated. The most popular areas are face, neck, décolletage and hands.
The areas affected by stretch marks such as an abdomen, thighs and inner part of shoulders are also targets for RF microneedling.
Most skin types can be treated including tanned skin and darker skin ie from Fitzpatrick I-VI.
Treated area may look red and swollen after a session. With the lunchtime treatment, patient will have a redness for an hour or so and then this process will subside. The clear microchannels created by the fractional RF remain open for 4-6 hours. After this time patient is ready for a night out with very mild to no indication of any treatment.
How many treatments are required?
Fo the optimal result 5 treatments are recommended with the interval of 3-4 weeks, but a minimum of 3 sessions. After that maintenance is advised twice yearly.
Pre and Post care
PRE:
- Use SPF and avoid sun, solarium or fake tanning for 2 weeks prior to treatment.
POST:
- Good skincare routine with daily moisturizer
- SPF 50+
- No swimming or heavy exercise for 2 days after treatment
- No makeup until the next day
